Route & General Observations

Ascended and skied the Truck Ramp. Wet loose natural avalanches actively happening in the afternoon on south and southwest aspects, some of them entraining a lot of snow.

Observer Comments

Wet loose avalanche on steep southeast, south, and southwest aspects. Some of these avalanches were entraining a lot of snow. Small slab avalanche spotted on NW aspect of Farside, approximately 4500 ft. Appears to be human triggered, see photo below.

Weather

Clear, temps in the upper 20's to mid 30's. Winds were light and variable, but transporting loose near surface facets.

Snow surface

Near surface facets, wind packed powder, widespread breakable wind crust and wind slab up to 6" thick in the Truck Ramp.

No formal tests done.
