A quick trip to the Tincan ridge.
3 inches of new snow from Halloween night had fallen. Many chutes and gullies,
as well as a rocky slope on the west shoulder of Tincan sluffed.
The pack continues to be shallow and weak. The surface hoar that formed the last
2 weeks of October sits between the new and old snow. However, the old snow is
so weak that it will likely be the main player in avalanche failure when more
snow overloads these facets.
