Standard up track to false summit. Skied top and in trees.

Observer Comments

Whoomping near the beaded stream in the flat section. Also on a larger pillowed area near the top as skinning up. Recent skier triggered avalanche (see photo)

Light breeze, Sunny/partly cloudy.

Snow surface

New snow. Obviously becoming denser as the day progressed esp where it was exposed to sun, Thin Surface crust on southerly aspects by the end of the day. Surface flying into my face on occasion.


New snow. Hand pits near the top failed above or below the old thin icy layer. Not much energy, and not a clean break. Little response on hand pits down lower, but no icy layer present.
