Route & General Observations

Access via the common Tincan up-track. Snow cover thin and variable below treeline. Approximately 12″ above treeline – skied well. Notable melt-freeze layer on NW shaded aspects. Melt-freeze was between approximately 8″ of loose (4F) large-grain snow at ground and 3-4″ loose snow on top. Well-developed surface hoar in shaded and wind protected areas. Roller balls were obvious on steeper terrain near exposed rocks. Small cornice developing along ridge line.
