Observation: Turnagain
Location: Tincan
Toured up Tincan via regular route. At 10am / 1500′ boot penetration was boot deep. At 4pm / 1500′ boot penetration was thigh deep. From 12pm-3pm at 3000′ boot penetration was boot deep. From car to treeline snow surface is wet heavy spring snow. Above treeline we found heavy settled powder and the skiing was decent. The last storm deposited a lot of snow on the upper ridges and the wind lips / cornices are super touchy. Lots of roller balls and sagging cornices.

Glide crack on Tincan south face.
Glide crack debris from South face of Tincan reached all the way to creek.
Pastoral conditions / May 2. Note that the Taylor pass route is threatened by sagging heavy cornices.
