The wind was howling today from the north and east on the Tincan ridge. Other areas in Turnagain Pass, Girdwood and Summit Lake saw winds from predominately the west. However, plums from various directions were visible off most ridges and peaks. Upper and mid-elevation slopes are likely wind loaded and sensitive to the weight of a person. I’d expect it would not be too hard to trigger a windslab or two that could get you in trouble if you are not careful.
