I dug this pit at 2500 feet on a west aspect. Once we got above
treeline where the wind was actively loading leeward aspects, we
were able to trigger some small surface soft slabs 3-6 inches
thick with ski cuts. I also got easy failures at a density
change in the middle of the January facets about a foot down.
