Route & General Observations

Drove the road to checkout coverage after this latest storm. An avalanche was visible from the parking lot(see details below). Overall coverage is getting better but early season conditions still exist. above 4000′ the snowpack appeared wind effected and deeper than lower elevations.

Avalanche Details

A group of riders came down and stated that they remote triggered an avalanche and whumping and shooting cracks were observed. The crown was estimated at four feet, and was at the old/new snow interface. Riders mentioned that another avalanche occurred but couldn't be observed from the road.
