New snow is very loose and lacks any propagation potential for the time being, but also lacks any real cohesion to the wind hammered base beneath it found on all alpine aspects. Very easy to knock loose sloughs of descent size on steeper terrain at this time.
Southerly aspects are wind loaded beneath the new snow from mid-week wind event, gradual ski testing of isolated wind features showed slabs were still breakable but stubborn.
10-13F, off and on snow, heavy at times, little to no wind.
