Side cut and jumped on a pocket of wind blown snow which produced a shooting crack.
Most calm with some light wind from the north on the ridge. Partly cloudy skies, good vis.
Dug a shallow pit; height of snow 35cm, west facing and about a 27 degree slope. CT2 SC, ECTX. Isolated column collapsed between ground and 14cm 4F grains under a 1cm pencil hard crust. The snow above the crust was 20cm of fist hard snow, nice and light. Buried surface hoar was noticed 15cm below surface but was unreactive in this pit.
