Tenderfoot Ridge to just above alpine zone. Put dug at 2590’ West aspect approximately 25degree slope angle

Mostly cloudy, ~25F, light southerly

Snow surface

10-12cm loose dry

Snowpack

120cm depth. 3 distinct weak layers. From 5-15cm basal facets. ~70cm melt freeze crust. ~90 cm facets. Sheering at 90cm found while cutting into pit. Redug pit and found collapse on same layer after “5 elbow”taps. Propagation across entire layer. Very difficult to get reaction from deeper weak layer.
