1 lap tour from Lodge to 3600ft on ridge. Clear skies and beautiful. Skinned across lake and got our skins nice and wet.Wind affect prevalent everywhere with significant amount of recent wind load avalanches.Temperature 8F at lodge, noticeably a lot warmer exiting alders, 27F at tree line, not sure at 3600 feet (forgot to check) but still noticeably warm. Unusual crust in upper trees, similar to wind crust but seemed more like radiation freezing at surface ( not sure if such a thing exists). Old skin track collapsed under me a couple of times after exiting trees, knee deep with skis on. Wind crust and dense powder pockets above tree line. Rock and ground exposed in places. Triggered a couple of quite loud whoomphs on the ridge that could be heard continuing down into northern chutes. Tried to ski cut trigger above chutes with no result. Very variable skiing. Snowpack in bad shape.
