Route & General Observations

Toured out to Taylor Pass under blue skies and headed back to Pastoral- winds were the biggest factor after 2:00- we were observing significant snow transport on ridge tops and over the passes.

Old glide avalanches were in view for most of the tour out to Taylor Pass (on motorized side) and along Southside of Tincan/The Library.

Weather

Blue bird 'til afternoon then intermittent clouds and winds arrived.
Winds picked up around 2:30-3pm and temperatures dropped.

Snow surface

Frozen firm snow surface on skin out to Taylor-softer snow/crust in mid elevations- wonderful powder out at Pastoral.
