Route & General Observations

While xc skiing on Middle Fork saw 2 folks had put a steep skin track up Rusty Point ( directly above bridge crossing just before Williwaw trail junction. Watched them for a bit as the snow looked deep ( for the front range) in their chosen line. They appeared to want to push past the fat apron into the steeper, rockier terrain that was likely to harbor weaker snow pack. We kept checking back on them out of curiosity when we saw a fast moving D2, pushing a decent powder cloud. Only noticed it after it had already run at least 150ft, missed the initiation, it ran full length. Eventually saw the 2 skiers ski out. Couldn’t tell if either were caught at any point, hopefully they will post their own obs and this distant, non involved party perspective will be moot.
