Snow surface

Wet but supportable snow from 1000-2000ft, did not get a hard freeze overnight

5cm new snow on crust from 2000-2400ft

Snowpack

Dug a quick pit down to 70cm below the ridge at approximately 2400ft, SW aspect
5cm of new snow on top of a 10 cm pencil hard crust. Below the crust consists of large wet grains, 4 finger hardness.
