Route & General Observations

Skiing Sunburst and NW shoulder of Magnum to top of PMS bowl observed that the winds after the last storm came from an unusual direction and affected west and south aspects several hundred feet or more below ridge top level. The snow from the next storm may be falling on top of firm, textured snow where snowpits and uptracks are most common, and on areas of weaker, softer snow further down south and north aspects in the hard-to-predict areas that weren’t wind affected.
