While touring up ridge noted the obvious wind slab on the N side. Very easy to
deliberately trigger with one hard ski stomp. Had nice propagation 25 ft down
ridge for one of them, slab thickness between 2 an 8 inches. Triggered 4
distinct slabs from 3 to 25ft across, on different slopes each time with just a
well placed ski stomp, one of the slides triggered a sympathetic which was a
little unexpected. All slabs were fairly slow moving until broken up but
obviously big enough to carry people over difficult terrain. Nothing you didn’t
already know, there are certainly a few traps out there……
