Skied Mt Marathon to a bit short of the summit. Stopped to avoid potential, but not observed instabilities from solar warming, outflow wind transport, and thin spots in the snowpack.
Pit @ 3700 ft, east aspect, 45 degrees.
Height of Snow > 4 meters

15 cm layer was at storm snow interface under Friday’s convective snow showers. I could not identify a layer or weakness for the 40 cm layer, just a mid storm layer.
1.5 meter boot penetration @ 4500 feet. No joke, unbelievably deep snow.
No signs of instabilities.
