Noticed this slab avalanche on a short rollover in the upper section of Seattle Creek drainage, Minus 3 Bowl area. Looked to have been triggered by a snowmachine. It was difficult to tell how old it was. It was not there on Sunday Jan 5th so it could be anywhere from 1 to 3 days old.

The avalanche seen was a slab that failed on buried surface hoar. We could see the feathers. Slab was around 2 feet thick. Because the roll was short it did not run far. It was around 100 feet wide. The triggered looked to have been a snowmachine from 2-4 days ago.
