Saw this recent avalanche today. Was reported by others that heard/saw the slide at 1:45pm, Jan 14. Believed to have been either remotely triggered by snowmachiner(s) along ridgeline above or a natural. No one known to have been caught as avalanche released below ridge where snowmachine tracks were later seen.

Little known about avalanche at this point. It looks to have released in either the new storm snow or the below the New Year's storm snow before stepping down to weaker layers near the ground. You can see the ground exposed if you look close in the photo.
