Glide cracks growing - all aspects, all over Turnigain Pass
Two skier triggered wind slabs on Juniors (D1's) likely 1-2 days old
Cornice triggered windslab on West face of Pyramid
Partly sunny becoming mostly cloudy in the afternoon
NE winds - 10-15mph
Very short period of flurries - no accumulation
Temps - low 30's in sun, mid 20's in shade
1400 - 2600' -1-15" of low density snow on firm crust, on solar aspects (1-2" sun crust softening in the afternoon)
Surface hoar (2-8mm) on all aspects/elevations, on windward slopes SH was blowing over
Dug a pit at 2600' - West aspect, 27* slope, HS >300cm, see photo diagram - Found intact/partly decomposing stellars 16" (40cm) below surface(4F hard) just below a 1cm rain crust. This density change did not have any propagation in tests. Also found an unreactive layer of buried surface hoar 3.75' (115cm) below surface. Test results: CT16 Q2, ECTN17, ECTN20 (40cm below surface)
Cornice crack above Mamma's Bowl
Two skier trigged wind slabs (D1's) on Juniors (SW aspect) as seen from the top of Main Bowl. Likely occurred 1-2 days ago.
