Forecaster Comments

We suspect that this is a wet slab avalanche that released in the November facets on top of the Halloween crust. This weak layer structure has been observed throughout the Crow Pass area this winter and could produce more wet slab avalanches as melt water continues to weaken the snowpack as the spring progresses.
