Avalanche:
Location: Road Observations along Turnagain Pass
A quick drive through Turnagain Pass to see if there has been any recent avalanche activity in the last couple days. Answer is yes. One new glide/wet slab on Seattle Ridge and possibly one new glide/wet slab on West Pyramid. Photos below.
Cloud cover moved in late morning that will limit refreeze tonight. This should encourage increased natural avalanche activity over the weekend. Heads up!

Observer Comments
Seattle Ridge slide was from the past 24-hours. West Pyramid slide could be simply a melted out old bed surface or a recent avalanche - cannot tell for sure in the photo.

Clouds! For the first time in weeks there was bone fide cloud cover today. Temperatures 50F at sea level and 47F at 1,000'.

Snowpack at 1,000' and below was soggy and wet.
