Location: Powerline side of Ptarmigan Pass

Romp on Powerline corridor on fish scales to check out the first snow of the season.

Overcast skies, cloud ceiling ~3000, hence no visibility to see the ridge lines.
Temperatures ~25-30F.
Light snow during the two hour tour.
Calm to light winds.

Snow surface

Yay for soft new snow! No wind impact yet, just 10-15cm of new snow.


Only layer is the new snow. No crust or wet snow at the base. The ground was fully frozen and dry.
