Observation: Turnagain

Placer valley had quite a few natural avalanches that slid during or just after the last storm on Monday
the 19th. The storm came with little wind and cold snow. It also buried a significant layer of surface
hoar that formed over the weekend. We saw these slabs on all aspects and over a wide range of
elevations.
