New snow starting around at the parking lot. Around an inch @ 628' and increasing to 40cm @ 2672. Thin wind slab forming along the ridge.
Did several hand shear tests along the way up snow seemed to be very consistent. New snow seems to have bonded well to the crust and to the old Snow. Along the ridge at ~2000-2600' we observed a thin wind slab forming ~4" thick. Hand shears were easy but we were unable to get much activity with ski cuts above our skin track. We dug @ 2672' sw aspect. ~28* slope. Ct 21 pc q3. Ct 24 pc q3. Ectn 24 pc. Fracture plane was 40cm down. Suspected new snow old snow interface. HS was 3 m.
