We didn’t observe any shooting cracks, or whoomphing. I was the third skier down a convex slope over a cliff. I was nearing the cliff when the slab popped about 30’ above me. I aired the cliff not knowing the avalanche had triggered. My spotters yelled at me to keep skiing so I didn’t get hit. They had to ski out of the way as well so it didn’t hit them.

For its size it moved surprisingly fast and had a decent powder cloud. I would have been hit by it, had my spotter not been watching me and told me to keep moving.

Slab varied from 8”-24” (guessing from the tree in the crown)
