Observation: Summit
Location: N end Fresno Ridge
Skied up ridge to 3100 feet. Felt the Dec. 1st crust to about 2550? 25-50cm under. Surface hoar only to about 1500′. Wind gently transporting snow above 2800. Dug in a wind neutral spot at 3040′. Found strong snow. Was able to pick up chunk of well rounded basal facets. Also able to identify, but not get to react, a layer of BSH from November.
