Avalanche reduction work on the “Monies” on 4/8/2010 found some
deeper slab instabilities with trigger points near the bottom of
rock bands. This avalanche was triggered with a standard shot
that could be the equivalent to a skier hucking a cliff or a
snowmachine roosting out. The red arrow is pointing toward a
patroller to show perspective of the depth of the crown face.
