Three snowmachine triggered avalanche in Main Bowl today. I investigated one and found the Solstice BSH was weak layer, about 60cm down. Confident this was also the weak layer in the other two avalanches.
At least two of three slopes that avalanched had multiple tracks prior to avalanche.

Recent avalanches.
Calm winds. Single digit temps and high clouds.
12-20” low density snow from NYE storm.
Melt freeze crust from early in NYE storm is present below about 2200’. It disappears in the 2200-2300’ elevation band.
No formal stability tests but all three avalanches failed on buried surface hoar 50-60cm down.
