South side of the Magnum ridge:
Whoomphing on low angle skin track while breaking trail. Only in areas of deeper wind deposit (gully bottoms and below cornice). Quick hand pits revealed similar structure to rest of pass, <1mm BSH on crust, some of it starting to degrade under deeper (wind deposited) snow. Was able to shear off some small obvious unstable cornice chunks but this one broke "naturally/remote" after a 2nd party had traveled 100ft past it. Blocks were hard.
