Route & General Observations

Standard route to Harp Mountain. Instead of climbing Harp we routed to Hidden Valley. Many cornices and most slopes looked windblown. The observed avalanches were post slide. We did not observe active sliding and chose to not ski any slopes.

Weather & Snow Characteristics
Please provide details to help us determine the weather and snowpack during the time this observation took place.
Weather

Very warm when we were there - mid day. Approximately 40 fairenheit.

Snow surface

Wind crust on most of the snow. Escarpments near the ridge lines were very common.

Snowpack

We dug one snow pit. The base was approximately 1 inch of icy slushy snow with 1 weak layer mid snow pack. Please forgive the rough terminology.
