On an otherwise bleak day, I skinned from gate to summit of pass and return.

Avalanche Details

Several avalanches along S aspect of Skyscraper Mountain. These seem to be storm soft slab releases. At least one ran to ground and across the road.

Warm temperatures...probably just below freezing interpolating from Wx stations. Winds 15G30 mph. Especially exposed at pass.

Heavier density fresh snow from last 24 hrs ranging from 10" to bare ice at Pass.
