Route & General Observations

Standard route from gravel pit. Mostly clear, moderate temps. Old roller balls faceting out to almost fist hardness@1700′.
Surface hoar to 1 cm+ in wind sheltered locations to 2500′. No current red flags

partly cloudy very slight wind out of the North 0-4 mph, -5C/22F

Snow surface

Surface hoar 6mm-1cm. Upper 10 cm of recent snow faceting. Easy skinning

Snowpack

i chose a moderately wind loaded location to try and assess the “bridging” of BSH and facet layers

Pit 1: 32 deg wind loaded slope (HS 93cm), E-ENE 77* aspect, 2640': BSH was 65cm deep. ECTX,C 29, CTN, CT22, PST 30/100 END
resistant to triggerring did show propagation potential

Pit 2: neutral slope; East 85* Aspect; 30* Slope; 2400’; HS 45cm
CT11, ECTN20, down ~28cm on 1.5-2mm facets between decomposing crusts, ECTX
