Avalanche Details

Avalanche was remotely triggered while walking along the flat broad ridge. The fracture initiated approx. 30 feet from the skin track on a low angle rollover, maybe 25 degrees. The slide ran the full length to the valley bottom. The crown was around two feet deep and the pocket of snow that realeased was approx. 80 feet across. The Slide occurred on a leeward slope. Could have been associated with wind loading and/or buried surface hoar. I didn't feel comfortable getting on the slope to analyze.
