2/8 sky coverage early 930am progressing to full cloud coverage by 3 pm with light precipitation. Temps in the 20's. Calm winds below 1000 feet, light winds above 1800ft.
Thin rain crust until around 1100ft and then soft snow conditions to 1800ft. Variable soft to moderate with wind effect above 1800ft.
Quick pit at 2700 ft on a 33 degree slope SWW slope. Right side up snow pack depth 130cm to 160cm. Ski pen 30 and Boot pen 50cm. Column test with results of CTN, and an extended column test with results ECT 24 RP/Q3 at 50cm from surface. Unable to define a specific layer of concern but likely the layer at 50cm from surface was a thin wind effect/new snow interface. Three skiers in our party, and we ski cut numerous steeper roll overs and convexities on North, SW aspects with no obvious signs of instability.
