Location: Dutch Hills
Petersville region to the Dutch Hills – several remotely triggered avalanches.
Avalanche Details
Rider traveling up the valley floor proceeding to shelf. Multiple small scale avalanches breaking approximately 800 feet above the rider as he proceeded up. More remote avalanche triggers due to the initial avalanche. No one caught, the rider saw the slides and was able to get out of the runout zone. The debris pile was 6+ feet.

Observer Comments
Shooting cracks in lower and upper elevation. evidence of recent avalanche activity in surrounding mountains. Recent storm with 24" of light power snow. Surface hoar under first layer of recent snow as well had wind blown crust layers 30" down.
