Similar conditions to yesterday’s observation: deep trail breaking through loose facets on top of a discontinuous hard layer, lots of whumpfs and cracks.
Temps in the 20’s and even some real sunshine.

This is consistent with what forecasters observed on Sunday. D1-D1.5 soft slabs that failed naturally mid storm on 12/18.

Avalanche Details

We noticed this avalanche while skiing back from Dog Sled pass this afternoon. There is no new snow in the path and the crown is sharp, so I'm confident this happened after the snow stopped midday yesterday, may have happened today.
Crown depth looked to be 1-3ft. Slope angle is probably less than 35deg.
