Avalanche Details

Tender conditions below tree line.
The wind probably didn’t knock down the facets before shallow wind slabs started forming. Only one test slope had enough slope angle to slide a very short distance. Propagation and spider webbing on low angle slopes was impressive. Variable, often upside down snow and quite a few drifts hard enough to stop me in my tracks made for less than ideal turning conditions.
