Observed avalanched debris on the SE aspect of Mt. Gordon Lyon from the S. fork Eagle River saddle.

Avalanche Details

Observed avalanche debris on SE aspect of Mt. Gordon Lyon at approx. 1500 hrs on 3/27/21. 61.2581, 149.50493. Approx. 250ft wide with debris running 0.2mi down slope. Appeared to be natural release within the last 24hrs. Probably due to loading of steep slopes on E. aspect of Gordon Lyon slope by W. winds. Arctic Valley weather station reported gusts to 25mph in the past 24hrs. Was not able to access debris so crown height and physical dimensions are only estimates (pic)
