Observation: Turnagain

Location: Road observations along Turnagain Arm and Pass

Route & General Observations

Many large wet loose and wet slab avalanches from the warm weather yesterday along with possibly some today. Most of these are slopes facing E-S-W and at elevations from 3,000′ and below. Less activity on the non-motorized side as is normal due to thicker snowpack and less direct sun in general.

Example of one of the many wet loose/slab avalanches on the SE face of Seattle Ridge.
