Join Friends of the Chugach and Elyse Saugstad on Thursday, November 17 at 8 PM for our annual fundraiser! Elyse’s presentation will include insights into her experience as one of the skiers in the 2012 Tunnel Creek Avalanche in the Cascade Mountains.
The Chugach National Forest Avalanche Information Center and Friends of the Chugach Avalanche Center are pleased to announce the launch of an observations program partnership with Hatcher Pass Avalanche Center. Our hope is that Hatcher Pass users will embrace the observations program in the same way Turnagain / Summit users have and begin regularly submitting observations and photos. These observations will help Hatcher Pass forecasters as they collect data for their next advisory. Click here to read recent Hatcher Pass observations. Southcentral Alaska Snow and Avalanche Workshop – November 1st, 2013
Join us for a gathering of snow professionals for a day of learning, presentation, discussion, networking, and libations. This event follows the tradition of the International Snow Science Workshop and the grassroots regional snow and avalanche workshops such as the Utah Snow and Avalanche Workshop, Colorado Snow and Avalanche Workshop.
