Route & General Observations

Drove through Turnagain and Summit Lake and back through Turnagain between 2:30pm to 4pm. Rain transition to giant chicken feather flakes just below the Turnagain Pass ~800′, snowing hard both directions with only a 1cm of wet slush on my way back at 1000′. Otherwise flakes were melting as they hit the ground.

Heavy snowfall along Turnagain Pass to Johnson Pass and Summit Lake and heavy rain at the lower elevation points in between. Strong winds along Turnagain Arm.

Visibility was obscured above road level.
0.9" SWE was recorded at Center Ridge Snotel between 6am and 4pm and the same amount at DOT RWIS station.
Temps were 34-36F along Turnagain and Summit where snow was falling

Rain/snow line was at 1000' between 2:30pm and 4pm
