Route & General Observations

Widespread rumbling collapses, shooting cracks, and wind transport. Natural and skier triggered windslab avalanches on moraine convexities. These terrain features were relatively small, slides were 1-2 feet deep, and 50 – 250 feet wide. I assume they would have been larger in bigger terrain. A picture of one of these skier triggered slides is attached. Ongoing natural loose snow avalanches running full length in couloirs. Sand-dunes made of wind transported pebbles and crowberries.
