Snowpack

Informal hand pits reveal a very poor snowpack structure. 2-10" of fresh unconsolidated snow/wind cream on top of ~12" of very hard wind board on top of ~6" of ground facets. Despite poor structure snow did not seem to have much energy could not produce any shooting cracks or collapsing even at the sides of the slabs at indicator slopes. Lot's of skiers in the Peak2/3 area and no avalanches were observed.
